SFA breaks into Top 25 after weeks of receiving votes
Mid-Major Top 25 Poll
NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- After weeks of gaining votes in the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll, the Stephen F. Austin women's basketball team broke into the top 25 on Tuesday in the midst of a season-long six game winning streak. With that streak now sitting at seven after the win over Abilene Christian on Wednesday, the Ladyjacks have the opportunity to climb from their current ranking of 23 with the release of the next poll.
SFA is 15-3 on the season (6-0 SLC) and sits tied atop the league standings. After receiving votes in the preseason edition of the poll, the Ladyjacks reappeared in the poll early in the season and have steadily climbed through the collection of programs receiving votes to their current total of 73 votes.
