HOUSTON, Texas – The SFA track and field team had a quartet of athletes compete at the Houston Invitational on Friday afternoon, with three Ladyjack pole-vaulters placing within the top five in the event. The invitational will conclude tomorrow, with the SFA men competing in the vault as well.
Nastassja Campbell was the top finisher on the day, reaching a mark of 4.30m (14-1) to finish first overall. Madison Pecot took second overall with a mark of 4.15m (13-8), followed by Kaylee Bizzell in fifth place with a mark of 4.00m (13-1).
Antonio Ruiz competed in the men's 200m race ahead of tomorrow's pole vault competition, taking second with a time of 21.75.
