THE FIRST SERVE
• Hoping to string together consecutive wins for the first time in 2018, the Stephen F. Austin women's tennis team heads to Huntsville, Texas, Sunday where it will take part in its 2018 season finale. At noon, the Ladyjacks take on Southland Conference foe Incarnate Word at the McAdams Tennis Center on the campus of Sam Houston State. The match will serve as the final Southland Conference tilt of the 2018 regular season.
• Wednesday afternoon, SFA secured a 6-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Texarkana, Texas, which represented the Ladyacks' first shutout victory win since January 22, 2016. That day, SFA bested Prairie View A&M by a 7-0 tally at the Schlief Tennis Complex in Nacogdoches.
• Each of SFA's six singles wins against the Golden Lions Tuesday afternoon were of the 6-0, 6-0 variety.
• Sophomore Darinka Tiboldi is one win away from reaching 10 singles wins in 2018. Both she and Nida Kamal have won two singles matches in a row - the longest active singles winning streak on the team - while Tiboldi leads the team in singles wins with nine. Together, Tiboldi and Kamal have claimed a team-high six of the Ladyjacks' 16 doubles victories in 2018.
• Kaja Ljubic needs one more singles triumph to bring her singles record back to .500. Ljubic is 8-9 in singles action with those eight wins representing the second-most on the team.
• Each of the four previous meetings between the Ladyjacks and Cardinals have resulted in a win for SFA. In their 4-0 all-time record against Incarnate Word, SFA has won by scores of 6-1 on three occasions and by a 5-2 tally one time.

• Regardless of their result against the Ladyjacks' Sunday, the Cardinals are assured the eighth-seed for the upcoming 2018 Southland Conference Tournament. Should they lose and drop their Southland Conference mark to 3-8, the Cardinals would wins up tied with Lamar for eighth place. UIW, however, holds the tiebreaker over Lamar by virtue of a head-to-head win over the Cardinals. With a win, UIW would move into a tie with New Orleans for seventh place but the Privateers hold the tiebreaker over the UIW by virtue of a head-to-head win.
• UIW enters Sunday's match trying to put the brakes on a three-match losing skid. The Cardinals dropped a 4-3 decision to New Orleans before losing by identical 7-0 scores to Northwestern State and Abilene Christian.
• Matea Zemunik and Jelena Dordan are tied for the team lead in singles wins with nine apiece. Dordan's Southland Conference singles record stands at 5-3, making her the only player on the Cardinals' roster who is above .500 in league singles play.
• Dordan and Alejandra Tamayo have been one of the Cardinals' most productive doubles teams in Southland Conference action, too. Their 6-6 mark in tandem play is the best on the squad while their 4-1 showing in Southland Conference doubles matches is the best record by winning percentage on the team.

• The Ladyjacks' focus shifts to the 2019 season while Incarnate Word will make their first Southland Conference Tournament appearance in program history Friday in Beaumont, Texas.
