Senior Angelo Leyvani finishes ties for 11th, sophomore Steven Fabik ties for 25th in rain-shortened 36-hole tournament
CHOUDRANT, La. – Inclement weather has canceled the third and final round of the 2018 Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at the Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, Louisiana. Stephen F. Austin men's golf senior Angelo Leyvani completes the rain-shortened 36-hole tournament tied for 11th among 85 total golfers with a 1-under 143, while sophomore Steven Fabik finishes tied for 25th with a 2-over 146.
The Lumberjacks tied for 13th with a team score of 27-over 603 after the two rounds of play as UAB captured the team title with an impressive 20-under 556. Georgia (18-under 558), the 13th-ranked team in the nation, claimed runner-up honors and 53rd-ranked Cincinnati (4-over 580) took home third place.
