TULSA, Okla. – A day after finishing tied for 15th through two rounds at the Mark Allen Auto Group ORU Shootout, the Stephen F. Austin women's golf team could not make up any ground in the third and final round Tuesday morning. The Ladyjacks finished the two-day, three-round tournament hosted by Oral Roberts University in 15th place with a total score of 76-over 940.

The par-72 course at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, proved to be challenging for SFA as the Ladyjacks shot a 25-over 313 in the third and final round Tuesday. Finishing two strokes behind fellow Southland Conference member McNeese and two strokes ahead of UT Arlington, SFA was paced by a top-20 finish from redshirt junior Jamee Jorgensen (Boerne, Texas).

In 14th place after the first two rounds played Monday, Jorgensen turned in a 7-over 79 Tuesday to finish with a three-round total of 13-over 229, good enough for a 19th-place tie. Redshirt junior Erica Lautensack (Arlington, Texas) improved upon her 80 and 78 shot in the opening two rounds by posting a 5-over 77 Tuesday morning to finish with a 19-over 235 and tie for 46th.

Sophomore Alexandra Batista (Trophy Club, Texas), likewise, shot a 5-over 77 in the final round to post an overall score of 22-over 238 and tie for 59th, while sophomore Haleigh Jordan (San Antonio, Texas) tied for 65th with a two-day total of 23-over 239. Sophomore Paola Cortes (Allen, Texas) turned in a three-round score of 27-over 243 and finished 77th as true freshman Alexis Szewczyk (McKinney, Texas) competed as an individual, totaling a 29-over 245 and tying for 81st.

Fellow conference member Lamar claimed the tournament team title with a 32-over 896 total and host Oral Roberts placed second after shooting 36-over 900. Arkansas State out of the Sun Belt Conference took home third with a three-round total of 42-over 906.

Missouri State's Verena Gimmy shot a pair of 70's to begin the tournament and finished with a third-round score of 2-over 74 to claim the individual title with a two-day total of 2-under 214. Wichita State's Taryn Torgerson placed second with a 2-over 218 as Louisiana-Monroe's Shani White came in third with a 3-over 219.

The Ladyjacks return to the links for competition next Monday when they travel to Huntsville, Texas, for Sam Houston State's Bearkat Invitational held at the Raven Nest Golf Club.
