Longtime SFA volleyball supporter is in his third season of providing his voice to the tournament
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - For the third time in as many seasons, the Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament will feature the play-by-play and analysis of longtime Stephen F. Austin volleyball supporter Greg Miller on the Southland Digital Network.
Miller will be on the call for no few than three of the seven matches in the Southland Conference Tournament including the Central Arkansas/McNeese and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi/Sam Houston State quarterfinal bouts. He will also have the call of the semifinal match between the winners of the two aforementioned quarterfinal matches. Sam Levitt will provide play-by-play for the Ladyjacks' games up to the Southland Conference Tournament championship game. From there, David Saltzman and Brooke Bentley will take over play-by-play and analysis duties for the league's tournament title match on ESPN3.
The 2017 season marks the 11th season of Miller's ongoing affiliation with Stephen F. Austin volleyball team. A professor of statistics in Stephen F. Austin's department of mathematics and statistics, Miller has been operating SFAVolleyblog.net for the past eight years and beginning in 2013 it began serving as a platform for in-game internet audio broadcasts of the Ladyjacks' home and select away matches with Miller providing play-by-play and analysis.
When Stephen F. Austin announced its partnership with ESPN3 to video stream all of its home volleyball matches prior to the start of the 2015 season, Miller was selected to provide play-by-play and analysis for SFA's ESPN3 matches. Miller continued broadcasting the Ladyjacks' road matches on SFAVolleyblog as well.
Since the creation of SFAVolleyblog back in 2010, Miller has been a fixture at the Southland Conference Tournament by providing interviews and full coverage of each participating team.
In addition to his commitment to the Southland Conference to call the first and second-round non-SFA matches at the SLC Tournament, Miller is set to provide continued updates to SFAVolleyblog.net with coach and player interviews as well as videos.
