Four SFA players to compete in four-day event

FORT WORTH, Texas - Four members of the Stephen F. Austin women's tennis team are set to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Texas Regional Championship beginning Friday morning on the campus of TCU.
It will be doubles matches that start things for the Ladyjacks as the teams of Siân Payne and Darinka Tiboldi as well as Gabi Guilarte and Nida Kamal hit the courts at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The tandem of Payne and Tiboldi will take on Abilene Christian's team of Jordan Heney and Ileana Mocciola while Guilate and Kamal are set to tangle with the UT Arlington pair of Almudena Boza and Nanaka Takeuchi on a different court.
Singles action begins later in the morning beginning with Guilarte's 10:00 a.m. matchup with North Texas adversary Alexandra Heczey. Payne's first singles match pits the sophomore against Texas Southern's Julia Navaio at 11:00 a.m while Kamal does battle with SMU's Karina Traxler at 1:30 p.m.
Tiboldi received a bye to the second round of singles play where she awaits the winner of SMU's Charline Anselmo and Rice's Savannah Durkin. Tiboldi's second-round match will begin at 2:30 p.m.
