Parker Signs Professionally With KK Tajfun

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Former Stephen F. Austin All-American Jacob Parker has signed a professional contract to suit up for KK Tajfun in the Premier A Slovenian League. Parker reports to ?entjur, Slovenia for training camp on August 10th with the season getting underway later this fall.
KK Tajfun, formerly KK ?entjur, is part of the 12-team league and is coming off the first league championship in program history. After placing fifth in the regular season standings, Tajfun upset five-time reigning champion Krka in the semifinals before besting Rogaska 3-1 in the championship series.
"Obviously we're ecstatic for Jacob to get this opportunity to play professionally," said head coach Brad Underwood. "He has put in the time and paid the price to make himself a great player. He has signed to compete in a great league where he can continue to grow, which speaks volumes to his work ethic and commitment. The whole SFA program and university are very proud of him."
Parker closed out his SFA career as the Lumberjacks' all-time winningest player at the Division I level, winning 108 games in a Lumberjack uniform. A two-time first team NABC All-District 23 selection, Parker capped his final season as a Lumberjack averaging 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, shooting 51.1 percent from the floor.
A second team All-SLC selection, Parker was the SLC's top three-point shooter for the 2014-15 season, connecting on 44.0 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc. He helped guide SFA to three-straight Southland Conference championships and back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances, being named to the 2015 NABC Reese's Division Collegiate All-Star Game.
The 2013-14 SLC Player of the Year, Parker finished the year with four double doubles, including a 16-point, 10-rebound performance against Northwestern State in the SLC tournament semifinals. He closes out his SFA career with 1,251 points, ranking 15th all-time in program history and fifth at the Division I level, while adding 627 rebounds to rank 10th all-time (third at Division I level).
