Purple vs. White Spring Game Set For Saturday

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin will hold its annual Purple vs. White Spring Game Saturday, April 11 at Homer Bryce Stadium, kicking off at 6 p.m.
The format of the game will be similar to last season as the Lumberjacks will play four 12-minute running clock quarters. The clock will only stop following turnovers, touchdowns and following regular game day protocol within the final two minutes of both the second and fourth quarters.
The SFA offense will go head-to-head with the SFA defense giving each player a chance at significant reps. The game will one again feature head coach Clint Conque's spring game scoring system, giving points to both the offense and defense for key plays during the scrimmage:

The game is free to the public with a number of promotions going on throughout the evening. For those that want to arrive a little early, there will be a pregame high-five line for the Lumberjack football team as kids ages 12 and under can form a line for the players to run through.
SFA will also be holding its Select-A-Seat promotion as seats available for purchase for 2015 football season tickets will be marked, letting fans see what their view could be for the entire 2015 season. Fans who order season tickets tomorrow will also be entered into a drawing to win two free tickets to the SFA-TCU game in Fort Worth on September 12th.
The weather forecast for Saturday looks somewhat tricky as the forecast is calling for some afternoon rain. As long as there is no lightning in the area, the game will be played as scheduled. Weather permitting, SFA players will be available for autographs and pictures postgame.
The 2015 SFA Purple and White Spring Game will be streamed live online at SFA All-Access for fans unable to make it to Nacogdoches with in-game updates available on Twitter @SFA_Football. The game marks the conclusion of the 2015 spring practice schedule as the Lumberjacks will then turn their focus to summer workouts and fall camp, leading into the 2015 season opener against Tarleton State at Homer Bryce Stadium on Saturday, September 5th.
