Ladyjack Academic Shootout Set for March 7

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The 2015 Ladyjack Academic Shootout has been scheduled for Saturday, March 7 when the Stephen F. Austin women’s basketball team takes on rival Sam Houston State at 4:00 p.m. inside William R. Johnson Coliseum.
The annual event raises funds through the Purple Pride Fast Break Booster Club and the SFA Alumni Foundation to benefit summer school scholarships and fifth-year student scholarships for the Ladyjacks.
Fans can sign up to participate in the Ladyjack Academic Shootout at the front gate of William R. Johnson Coliseum where they can make pledges for a specific dollar amount or pledge to pay on a per point scored basis during the March 7 contest. Last year’s event raised more than $20,000.
SFA is currently 12-6 overall on the 2014-15 season with a 5-2 record in Southland Conference play. The Ladyjacks are one of four teams in the league with two losses. The squad will next play at home against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
