NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The three-time defending Southland Conference champion Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team will be hosting their second annual Meet & Beat at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the SFA Soccer Field.
“This will be a really exciting evening for our program and our players,” head coach Wally Crittenden said. “This is the first chance our players have to wear their new uniforms and go through their pre-game routine for this fall in its entirety under the Friday night lights and in front of a crowd.
“This will be a great indicator for the potential our team has moving forward in preparation for Rice next week. I encourage all soccer fans in our community to come out, relax, and enjoy some great soccer played by our talented players.”
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature the Ladyjacks playing a Purple versus White exhibition, followed by activities and autographs. The match will give fans an opportunity to see all the returnees, newcomers and coaching staff.
After the match, there will be a variety of skills stations set up for fans to practice with the current SFA players and pick up and have the Ladyjacks autograph the 2014 soccer schedule poster. After the game activities will start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
