
Glick, Dunnigan Named Capital One Academic All-District

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Seniors Morgan Glick and Megan Dunnigan were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 15 teams announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Glick was named to the first team, while Dunnigan garnered second team recognition.
The academic all-district honor is the first for Glick and second for Dunnigan, who was named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII first team as a sophomore.
Glick, who has a 3.83 GPA in kinesiology with a minor in biology, has been a steady presence for the Ladyjacks in goal this season, starting 14 matches in the net. The native of Boerne, Texas, has posted an 11-2-1 record with nine shutouts (seven solo, two combined) across 1,267 minutes. Glick currently owns a 0.57 goals against average and a .887 save percentage, making 63 saves across 165 shots faced this season.
Dunnigan, who has a 3.84 GPA in biology with a minor in general business, has helped captain the backline to a 0.61 goals against average on the season. In addition to playing lockdown defense, the native of Round Rock, Texas, has also recorded two goals and one assist for five total points this season.
Glick and Dunnigan have played a major role in SFA’s defensive unit that currently ranks ninth in the country in save percentage (.844), tied for 11th in shutout percentage (.625) and 20th in goals against average (.610).
To be eligible for Capital One Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at her current institution and be nominated by her sports information director. Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 20,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
The Ladyjacks will close out the regular season and home schedule this weekend, hosting Texas A&M - Corpus Christi for "Senior Night" on Halloween, before wrapping up with Incarnate Word on Sunday, Nov. 2.
