NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin women's soccer team remained undefeated both in Southland Conference play and at home, routing Southeastern Louisiana 3-0 on Friday night at the SFA Soccer Field.
The Ladyjacks (11-2-1, 7-0 SLC) broke up the scoreless affair against SLU (11-4, 4-3 SLC) with two goals in less then a minute, before icing the match with a third inside a 10-minute span in the second half to pick up their ninth straight win.
Senior Zuri Prince scored her team-leading seventh goal and fifth-game winner of the season in the 60th minute on a deep strike from outside of the box. The celebration was then quickly continued 57 seconds later, as sophomore Amanda Doyle beat her defender for a one-on-one opportunity in front of the goal for her fourth strike of the season to make it 2-0.
Senior Christie Hinojosa capped off the scoring frenzy for SFA and put the game out of reach in the 69th minute, kicking in a loose ball after a failed punch out by the Lady Lion keeper Casey Jeanfreau (2-3), her first goal of the season.
Senior Morgan Glick (9-2-1) picked up her ninth win and eighth shutout of the season, making five saves across 76 minutes before being subbed out for sophomore Lillie Ehlert to finish the match.
