FRISCO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin women's soccer team swept the Southland Conference Player of the Week honors, with Zuri Prince, Brooke Dunnigan and Morgan Glick picking up offensive, defensive and goalkeeper awards, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Ladyjacks picked up a pair of 1-0 victories to remain undefeated in SLC play, downing both McNeese State in overtime and Abilene Christian on the road this past weekend.
The honor is the third of the season for Glick and comes on the heels of picking up her sixth and seventh shutouts of the season. The native of Boerne, Texas (Champion HS), made 10 saves, five in each match, and faced 25 shots across 186 minutes in goal. With the two blankings of the opponent, Glick is 8-2-1 in the net on the season. Glick is the only keeper in the conference to win the award three times this season.
Prince played a crucial role in SFA's road wins, scoring both goals. The native of Beaumont, Texas (Kelly HS), scored the golden goal at McN in the 97th minute, before following with her second straight-game winner at ACU in the 82nd minute. Prince recorded seven shots and three on goal across 178 minutes played. Prince's recognition marks first offensive honor of the season for both her and the Ladyjacks this season.
Dunnigan picked up the first SLC weekly honor of her career in headlining the backline. The native of Round Rock, Texas (Vista Ridge HS), recorded the assist in SFA's golden goal against McN. Dunnigan played 186 minutes of lockdown defense. Brooke Dunnigan and her older sister Megan Dunnigan have combined for all three of the defensive honors for the Ladyjacks this season.
SFA will host Southeastern Louisiana this Friday at 7 p.m., before closing their road schedule at Nicholls on Sunday.
