Brown-Stewart Places 28th at USA Championships

Stephen F. Austin junior sprinter Cass Brown-Stewart finished off his 2013 outdoor season Thursday at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He clocked a time of 47.72 to finish 28th overall in the 400-meter dash.
The Southland Conference's top 400-meter sprinter over the past two seasons put together one of the top campaigns in program history. Brown-Stewart helped guide the SFA men to a sweep of the conference indoor and outdoor track and field championships, earned third-team All-America honors as a member of the `Jacks' 4x400-meter relay team and first-team All-America honors, with his seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash.
Brown-Stewart has one more year of eligibility remaining at SFA.
