Game Notes & What To Watch For:
- Tuesday's game can be followed via Gametracker at SFAJacks.com. Fans can also follow along on the official SFA Facebook and Twitter pages for the most up-to-date information on all games.
- The 'Jacks took sole possession of first place in the Southland Conference over the weekend, taking two of three from Southeastern Louisiana. SFA has now won nine of its last 11 games overall, and seven of its last nine league games.
- SFA’s Hunter Dozier saw his 16-game hit streak come to and end on with an 0-for-3 outing in the series finale vs Oral Roberts; however,he has maintained another streak and enters Tuesday having reached base in 29 straight games.
- Since taking over a late-inning role early in the year, reliever Brett Higginbotham has been nearly unhittable. In his last 14 appearances, the sidewinding senior righty has the following numbers: 3-1 record, 5 saves, 0.36 ERA, 23.1 IP, 10 hits allowed, .152 batting average, 1 run allowed, 24 strikeouts and just four walks.
- Dozier is cementing his name in the SFA record books this season, having already set the all-time doubles record and rapidly moving up in a number of other categories. The junior needs just eight more doubles to tie UTSA's Michael Rockett for not only the single-season, but career record in the Southland for two-baggers.
