Ladyjack Tennis Falls to Northwestern State

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team (8-8/3-1 SLC) had its five-match win streak come to an end Saturday in heartbreak fashion. Northwestern State rallied to beat SFA, 4-3, at the Schlief Tennis Complex.
The Ladyjacks jumped out to an early taking the doubles point with victories at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, but was unable to hold the momentum. SFA dropped the first set in five of the six singles matches. The Ladyjacks battled back tough forcing three of the matches to third sets. SFA picked up victories at Nos. 1 and 4 singles, but was unable to scratch out a third singles victory for the overall win.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday when it hosts Southeastern Louisiana. The match against the Lady Lions is slated to begin at 2 p.m. from the Schlief Tennis Complex.
