Boyd and Brooks Earn Weekly FCS CFPA Honors

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin wide receivers Tyler Boyd and Mike Brooks were named FCS College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention Wide Receivers of the Week announced by the CFPA earlier this week.
Boyd finished with a career-high 206 receiving yards on 11 receptions. He caught a 75-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, narrowing the Sam Houston State lead to 14 points.
Brooks contributed 123 receiving yards and three touchdowns on seven receptions. He added a 43-yard rush and 37 yards on two kickoff returns.
The 'Jacks face Southland Conference opponent McNeese State at home on Nov. 9.
