
SFA Tabbed 7th In Regional Poll Again

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - For a third consecutive week, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks have been ranked 7th in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division 1 Women's Central Poll. SFA (6-2-0) has ranked in the top 10 of the Central Poll for five straight weeks to start the season, climbing from the No. 10 position to start 2012.
The Ladyjacks pitched their sixth shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory at Texas State last Friday before having Sunday off. SFA has allowed just three goals combined in their first eight games, the fewest of any team in the Southland Conference thus far. They also currently boast the 3rd-best shutout percentage (0.75) in the nation and are 5th-best in goals-against average (0.375).
SFA will play their final two non-conference matches this weekend when they host Arkansas-Pine Bluff Friday at 7 p.m. followed by a trip to Waco, Texas for a showdown against No. 25 Baylor on Sunday at 6 p.m.
