FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin junior Lacey Lee was named the Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Lee, a native of Bedford, Texas, is coming off a weekend in which she allowed just one goal combined in matches against Texas Tech and TCU, including a 2-0 victory over the Horned Frogs on Sunday. The victory was Lee's third of the season, as well as her third shutout. Last year's first-team all-conference selection collected two saves while facing nine shots.
Lee also recorded a season-high eight saves against Texas Tech while facing 14 shots, allowing just the one goal which came off a deflection.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action this Friday, Aug. 31 when they travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face the LSU Tigers.
