'Jacks Ranked in College Sports Journal Preseason Poll

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - More preseason accolades come rolling in for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team entering the 2012 season. The 'Jacks are ranked 22nd in the College Sports Journal Preseason Top 25 poll.
SFA will open the 2012 season Thursday, Aug. 30, against Southwestern Oklahoma. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
The Lumberjacks return 10 starters on offense, including two All-American receivers and a preseason All-SLC quarterback. SFA will have to replace six starters on defense, but they return all the key players from last year's squad that helped the 'Jacks lead the nation in sacks and tackles for losses.
The Lumberjacks have been ranked in the top 25 of every major preseason poll heading into the 2012 season. SFA will carry a five-game win streak into the upcoming year.
