Ladyjacks To Host Prairie View A&M On Saturday

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The reigning Southland Conference champion Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks begin their quest for another regular season soccer title tomorrow, Aug. 11 when they host Prairie View A&M in an exhibition match at 7 p.m.
SFA is coming off a 2011 campaign in which they captured their sixth SLC regular season title in school history and tied the 2003 squad with 15 wins in a single season.
Earlier this week the Ladyjacks were chosen No. 1 in both the SLC preseason coaches and SID polls and had six players named to the preseason all-conference teams. SFA returns 10 starters and 15 letter-winners.
The Lady Panthers struggled last season, going 1-16-1 and were outscored 50-6. They return 12 players from last year’s team.
Admission for Saturday’s exhibition at the SFA Soccer Field is free.
