NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Following a standout rookie season, kicker Jordan Wiggs enters his sophomore season with high expectations. Wiggs has been named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Watch List for their Kicker of the Year Award. He is one of 36 kickers named to the list, and one of only two Southland Conference kickers to be honored.
The Grand Prairie native finished among the league leaders in scoring with 87 points during the 2011 campaign. He was 17-of-24 (.708) on field goals, including a long of 42 yards. He also converted 36-of-38 (.947) extra point attempts. His 87-point season was the ninth-best single-season campaign in program history.
