SFA Notches Three Top-10 Finishes at Rice

HOUSTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams returned to action Friday afternoon at the Rice Bayou Classic in Houston, Texas. The distance runner took the spotlight recording three top-10 finishes.
Sophomore Moses Luevano clocked a time of 9:18.95 to finish eighth in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Freshman Colby McCune followed suit in the men's 10,000 meters when crossed the finish line sixth with a time of 32:40.51.
Sophomore Amanda Walters also posted a top-10 finish in the women's 10,000 meters. She recorded a seventh-place finish with a time of 39:49.20 in the event.
The SFA men and women return to action Saturday morning for the second and final day of action in the Rice Bayou Classic.
