
McCloud Advances in 110-Meter Hurdles

EUGENE, Ore. - Junior Nick McCloud advanced to the quarterfinals of the men's 110-meter hurdles Friday afternoon at the NCAA West Regional at Heyward Stadium in Eugene, Ore. Junior Nick McCloud clocked a time of 14.07 to qualify for Saturday's quarterfinal heat which is slated to begin at 2:20 p.m.
Junior Mary Dickerson clocked a time of 54.97 in the women's 400-meter dash but was unable to advance to the NCAA Championships. It was a similar situation for freshman Cass Brown in the men's 400-meter dash. Brown clocked a time of 47.23 to finish just outside qualification.
Freshman Chelsea Stephen recorded a top-30 finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles. She closed out her rookie season crossing the finish line with a time of 13.97. Junior Adam Saloom closed out the track events Friday for SFA with his time of 9:14.39 in the men's steeplechase, but was unable to advance in the event. Junior Jon Arthur was unable to advance in the hammer throw with his mark of 175-2. The NCAA West regional will conclude Saturday. The day's events will begin with the women's discus throw at 10 a.m. The track events are slated to get under way at 1 p.m. with the women's 400-meter relay. -SFA-
