Ladyjack Golf Finishes 8th at the SLC Championships

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team recorded their lowest score of the tournament Wednesday afternoon in the final round of the Southland Conference Championships to finish eighth overall. SFA carded a 324-335-318 - 977 on the par-72, 6,098-yard Corpus Christi Country Club golf course.
Freshman Marissa Bransburg recorded a team-low 75-82-80 - 237 to finish 21st overall. Sophomore Allison Flake recorded her lowest round of the tournament, 78, to record the team's second-lowest score (79-86-78 - 243). Flake's score placed her tied for 27th overall. Senior Noelle Willcoxon closed out her career with an 85-78-85 - 248 to finish 33rd overall. Freshman Aliece Anderson was only four strokes back of Willcoxon with a 252. Anderson posted her lowest round of the tournament (78), and closed out the championships tied for 36th. Sophomore Chelsea Simmons was never able to get into a comfortable rhythm, but finished the three-day tournament with her lowest round. She placed 40th with a 258.
