
Ladyjacks Tie for Fifth at Lady Eagle Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team shot an overall 647 (327-320) to place fifth at the Lady Eagle Invitational Tuesday afternoon in Hattiesburg, Miss. After shooting a first-round 327, the Ladyjacks recorded a 320 on Tuesday to jump in the final standings.
Senior Noelle Willcoxon led the Ladyjacks with a team-low of 158 (80-78) to tie for 18th overall. Sophomore Chelsea Simmons finished just two strokes behind Willcoxon with a 160 (83-77) to finish 22nd overall. Meanwhile, freshman Sara Jones tied for 24th with a 79-82 - 161. Freshman Aliece Anderson recorded a final 85-83 - 168 to place 35th, while teammate Rose Henderson tied for the 38th spot after shooting an 86 in the final round.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action on March 28th when they travel to Shreveport, La., to compete in the Centenary/Hal Sutton Invitational.
