BAYTOWN, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team traveled to Baytown, Texas Saturday to compete against Prairie View A&M and dominated the match recording a 6-1 win. The Ladyjacks improved to 3-0 on the season. The Ladyjacks jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead sweeping all three doubles matches.
"Anytime you get a win it's nice," said SFA head coach Patrick Sullivan. "I have seen some definite improvement from the girls since day one and that continued to day. "This is a victory that we can build upon."
SFA kept up the pace winning three of the first four singles matches to take the victory, only dropping one singles match at number two singles in a tough tiebreaker. The Ladyjacks have surrendered only two points from the three matches played this season.
The Ladyjacks will return to action Sunday when they host Louisiana Tech. The match will begin at noon from the Schlief Complex, and will serve as the team's home opener.
