
Lumberjacks Add Two Prep Standouts to Roster

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Steven Cunnigan (Dallas, Texas) and Hunter Gregg (Scottsdale, Ariz.) signed National Letters of Intent to play football and continue their education at Stephen F. Austin announced head coach J.C. Harper Friday morning.
The addition of Cunnigan and Gregg increase the Lumberjacks' 2011 signing class to 25. Cunnigan becomes the fourth receiver added to the class, while Gregg is the fourth linebacker.
A 6-3, 185-pound receiver from Wills Point, Texas, Cunnigan originally signed with the United States Air Force Academy out of high school, but inked with the Lumberjacks after spending the past season at the Air Force prep school. A three-sport letterwinner at Wills Point, Cunnigan was a first-team all-district selection on both sides of the ball. A former district MVP, Cunnigan received honorable mention all-state honors during his senior season.
Gregg comes from one of the most successful programs in Arizona, guiding Chapparal High School to back-to-back 5A state championships. He tallied 195 total tackles in his final two seasons, including 120 as a junior. He was also credited with 16 sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception during his career. Gregg closed out his high school career earning all-region and all-state honors.
