NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team shot a three-round 1,037 (348-342-347) to place 16th overall at the Claud Jacobs Invitational. SFA fired a 342 to finish out the second round of play, which was suspended from Monday, and closed the tournament with a 347 Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Noelle Willcoxon led the Ladyjacks with a two-day score of 255, despite recording her lowest round of the tournament in Tuesday's final round. She finished tied for 72nd overall. Freshman Aliece Anderson recorded an 88 in the final round to finish 77th overall.
Classmate Sara Jones finished three strokes back of Anderson to place tied for 80th overall. Teammate Marissa Bransburg also posted a three-round 283 after carding a 92-88-83. Sophomore Chelsea Simmons was 85th overall with an 88-89-90 - 267.
The Ladyjacks return to action Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, when they travel to Corpus Christi, Texas, to compete in the Islander Spring Classic.
