EDINBURG, Texas - Ladyjack volleyball assistant coach Brian Yale has resigned his position and been named the new head coach at UT-Pan American, UTPA officials announced Thursday afternoon.
Yale spent six seasons on the Ladyjack bench and was part of one arguably the most successful stretch of Ladyjack volleyball in the program's history. SFA went 130-37 in his first five seasons, including winning four consecutive Southland Conference titles and reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2006.
In the midst of that run, SFA won a Southland record 62 consecutive league matches and had 12 first team all-SLC selections.
"I want to thank Brian and for all that he's done and he's been a tremendous asset to the program during his time here. He's been a great coach in all aspects and he's ready for this opportunity and as much as I hate to lose him I'm still very excited."
Search for a replacement will begin immediately.
