FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin placed 48 student-athletes on the Southland Conference Commissioner's List for the Fall 2010 semester. SFA also had eight student-athletes who finished the semester with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
For student-athletes to be named to the commissioner's list, they have to be eligible for competition during the semester of their respective sport's championships and have recorded at least a 3.0 GPA. The list was comprised of athletes from football, soccer, volleyball and men's and women's cross country.
SFA's list of honor roll selections included an Academic All-American, a league player of the year and an FCS Academic All-Star, while cross country standout Stephanie Ganter was named league student-athlete of the year. Two of SFA's fall sports recorded conference titles (women's cross country and football). The Lumberjack football team made history becoming the first team in program history to record back-to-back conference titles.
