FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin senior Jordan Glynn was named Monday the Southland Conference Basketball Player of the Week. Glynn led the Lumberjacks to a pair of league wins last week as SFA defeated Central Arkansas and UTSA.
Glynn, a Waco, Texas native, averaged a double-double, leading the 'Jacks in scoring and rebounding in both games last week. He scored a career-best 21 points and tied a season-high with 15 rebounds against UCA. Glynn then put up 17 points and hauled in 11 boards at UTSA.
Glynn has posted four double-doubles this season and has 15 in his two-year career at SFA. For the season, he leads the Lumberjacks in scoring with 12.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. His rebounding average ranks third in the Southland Conference.
Glynn's player of the week honor is the first for the Lumberjacks this year and marks the first of his career. SFA (11-4, 2-1 SLC) will be back in action Saturday, when the 'Jacks host UT Arlington. The game is set for a 6 p.m. start from Johnson Coliseum.
