Senior quarterback Jeremy Moses received College Football Performance Award Honorable Mention honors for his efforts against Lamar over the weekend. Moses is the second Lumberjack player to be recognized by the CFPA during the 2010 season.
Moses reached two career milestones during SFA's impressive 71-3 victory over the Cardinals Saturday night in Nacogdoches, Texas. With his second completion of the night Moses surpassed the 10,000-yard mark for yards of total offense. On his fourth and final touchdown pass of the night, Moses became the Southland Conference's all-time leader in passing yards. He currently has 10,596 yards for his career.
After a slow start, Moses finished the night 23-of-40 for 353 yards and four touchdowns. Moses has already recorded two conference career marks this season (completions and passing yards), and he is within striking distance of two more (touchdown passes and yards of total offense).
The Lumberjacks will take the week off before returning to action Saturday, Oct. 9, at McNeese State. The game is slated to kick off at 7 p.m. from Cowboy Stadium, and will be SFA's conference opener.
