Ladyjacks in Ninth Place Heading Into Final Round

MONROE, La. - Freshman Marissa Bransburg led the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team shooting an 80-78 - 158 in the opening day of action at the ULM/Fred Marx Invitational in Monroe, La, Monday afternoon. SFA enters Tuesday's final round seven strokes behind Western Kentucky who currently holds the eighth spot.
Marissa Bransburg is tied for 17th individually after posting a 80-78-158. Senior veteran Noelle Willcoxon trails three shots behind at the 27th spot with an 81-80-161. Sophomores Allison Flake and Chelsea Simmons are tied for the 52nd after shooting opening round scores of 80-89-169 and 83-86-169, respectively, while freshman Aliece Anderson is tied for 59th overall after shooting an 85-87-172.
The Ladyjacks will close out the final round of the Fred Marx Invitational Tuesday morning. The Ladyjacks are slated to tee off at 8 a.m.
