SFA Athletics Donate Supplies to Nacogdoches ISD

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Although they compete in different sports over the course of the academic year, Stephen F. Austin athletes teamed up for one common goal Thursday. The SFA athletics department held a school supply drive for the Nacogdoches school district.
"The community does so much to support our teams and athletes," said SFA Senior Woman Administrator Loree McCary. "This was a way for us to give back to the community."
The supplies donated will go to support every school within the Nacogdoches school district. In addition to the supplies, SFA also raised $120 for the school district.
Each team was challenged to donate $2 per athlete. The Ladyjack basketball team and cross country teams each raised more than the minimum.
