PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team maintained its No. 10 national ranking according to the Sports Network Top 25 poll announced TSN Executive Director Craig Haley Monday afternoon. SFA climbed one spot to 11th in the FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.
SFA was able to maintain its top-10 ranking due to an impressive 59-14 victory over Albany in Nacogdoches, but due to a number of FBS upsets the 'Jacks were unable to climb in the poll.
The 'Jacks' upcoming opponent, Northern Iowa, enters the week ranked 13th in the Sports Network poll. The Panthers received one first-place vote, and are one spot ahead of SFA in the Coaches' poll.
The clash between the two top-25 teams will take place Saturday in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The game against the Panthers is slated to begin at 4:05 p.m. in the UNI Dome.
