Ladyjack Volleyball Reports To Camp

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ladyjack volleyball team reported for camp on Sunday, just one day before opening up two-a-day practices in preparation for the upcoming 2010 season. Fourteen players reported for camp, including eight returners and six newcomers.
A dinner welcoming back the Ladyjacks to Nacogdoches was held on Sunday evening after the Ladyjacks had been issued their equipment. The Ladyjacks will take part in conditioning tests on Monday morning before taking part in positional and team practices in Shelton Gym.
SFA will have nearly three weeks to prepare for its August 27 opener in Waco, Texas, when the Ladyjacks take part in the Baylor Classic. The Ladyjacks have a tough draw in the opener, facing the Bears in the season's first contest, a team that advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last year.
Debbie Humphreys' group put together a 24-13 season in 2009, advancing to the finals of the Southland Conference Tournament. Preseason polls and all-conference teams are scheduled to be released August 11.
