'Jacks A Preseason Top 10 in Several Publications

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - As the countdown to the 2010 season works its way ever closer to the opening kickoff, many around the country believe that the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks will once again finish the season ranked among the nation's top 10.
SFA was picked eighth overall according to the Sports Network (TSN) Preseason Top 25 poll, which was released Monday afternoon. The Sports Network is one of five different preseason polls that expects SFA to be hovering around the top 10. Along with the TSN top 25 poll, the 'Jacks have also been picked eighth according to Athlon's and Lindy's Preseason Top 25, while Phil Steele's Football Magazine has SFA ranked 12th overall. SFA's highest ranking comes from the Sporting News which has SFA listed just outside the top five (No. 6).
The Lumberjacks are well into their second week of fall camp, and will be hosting their second scrimmage Saturday. It is slated to begin at 7 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium. The 'Jacks kick off the regular season Saturday, Sept. 4, at Texas A&M. The game against the Aggies scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m.
