Cravens Named SLC Athlete of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - Freshman multi-event athlete Josh Cravens has been named Southland Conference Male Athlete of the Week announced league officials Wednesday afternoon. It is the first weekly superlative of Cravens' career.
A Dallas, Texas product from Newman Smith High School, Cravens won the individual title in the long jump at the Rice Twilight meet. Cravens posted a mark of 25-2.75 to win the event, and set a new league standard this season. His mark places him among the nation's top 13 in the event, and is the second-best jump by a freshman this season.
The SFA men's and women's team returns to action Saturday when they travel to Natchitoches, La., to compete in the Northwestern State Invitational.
