NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Athletics is offering numerous promotional opportunities for fans who attend Saturday's game between the Lumberjacks and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start from William R. Johnson Coliseum and will be televised on SLC-TV, the Southland Conference's regional television network.
As part of SFA's "Pack the House" challenge, the athletics department will try to Purple Out Johnson Coliseum. Fans who wear purple will be admitted for free, and the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free Purple Out T-shirt.
Additionally, the game marks the renewal of SFA's annual partnership with the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce to "Cram the Coliseum." All Chamber members have tickets, which provide free admission to the game. To get your free tickets, stop by the Chamber office or see any Chamber member.
SFA students will have the chance to win prizes in a pair of different contests. The Show for Dough challenge prize has been doubled from $100 to $200 for the student organization with the largest group in attendance.
In addition, SFA will put on the Ultimate Fan Challenge. Students are encouraged to put together wild costumes to show their fanaticism for Lumberjack basketball. The top five Ultimate Fans will each receive a prize package. The prizes are sponsored by Fudruckers, Posados, Schlotzsky's Deli, Jack-Backers Bookstore, Wing Stop and Clear Springs Restaurant.
