
Ladyjacks Run By Privateers

NATCHITOCHES, La. - After nearly a two-week layover the Ladyjack tennis team picked up where they left off with a neutral-site, 7-0 win over the University of New Orleans at the Jack Fisher Complex on the Northwestern State University to run its win streak to three straight matches.
The Ladyjacks (4-1) took care of the Lady Privateers (2-3) with ease, not dropping a single set in any match on the afternoon. Roxana Enica ran her season record at No. 1 singles to 4-1 with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Cassandra Escobar. She also teamed up with Alina Shazkho in No. 1 doubles for an 8-2 win over Escobar and Kristina Martic.
Shazkho also picked up a No. 2 singles win over Martic by a 6-4, 6-0 margin. Paola Muntuenga also had a pair of wins in singles and doubles, defeating Ceara Howey 6-4, 6-0 in No. 3 singles and pairing up with Alice Pacaut for an 8-4 win over Amber Garza and Howey in No. 2 doubles.
Tatiana Smolnikova picked up her third singles win of the season with a 6-2, 7-6 decision over Garza in the No. 4 slot and Pacaut rounded out points for SFA by cruising to a 6-2, 6-0.
SFA will now jump into conference play with a pair of home matches beginning Feb. 27 at the Schlief Tennis Complex against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UTSA on the following day.
