NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Members from all Stephen F. Austin varsity sports gathered at the William R. Johnson Coliseum Sunday evening to deliver toys for Nacogdoches Welfare. In what has become a highly anticipated event on the SFA campus, members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council sponsored the event to provide toys for less fortunate children in the area.
"Our athletes look forward to this every year," said assistant athletics director Amber Budge. "The Nacogdoches community supports our teams and athletes so much throughout the year, and this is an opportunity for us to give back."
Representatives from every SFA men and women's varsity team arrived at the William R. Johnson Coliseum Sunday evening to deliver the toys for the Empty Stocking Fund. The toys will be delivered to the children at a later date.
