NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior quarterback Jeremy Moses and sophomore return specialist Gralyn Crawford have been named to the 2010 Walter Camp All-America team announced the Walter Camp Football Foundation Tuesday afternoon.
The honors continue to roll in for Moses, who has already been named to the 2010 AFCA All-America team and is one of three finalist for the Walter Payton Award. The two-time SLC Player of the Year, Moses guided SFA to a 9-3 record and another Southland Conference title.
Moses capped his senior season by becoming the school and Southland Conference all-time leading passer. Moses led the nation in completions (28 pg), passing yards (333.2 ypg) and passing touchdowns (34) in 2010.
Moses directed the nation's top-ranked passing offense for a second consecutive season, averaging more than 360 yards per game. The Lumberjacks were also ranked among the nation's top six in total offense (442.9 ypg/6th) and scoring offense (36.3 ppg/4th).
Moses added one final record to his career numbers in his final game as a Lumberjack. He completed 33 passes in the playoff game against Villanova, but he became the NCAA FCS all-time leader in completions with his 18th of the game.
Crawford became a two-way threat for the Lumberjacks 2010. Well recognized as one of the Southland Conference's top receivers, Crawford became a big-play threat as a return man during his sophomore season. He finished the year ninth in the country averaging better than 28 yards per return. He also tied for tops in the nation with three kickoffs returned for scores. He also returned one punt for a touchdown.
Crawford received numerous conference and national special teams player of the week honors for his efforts, but his most outstanding performance came during the second week of the season when he returned a kick and a punt for touchdowns against Albany. Following the game he was named SLC and National Special Teams Player of the Week.
The duo combined to help SFA record a historical season. The 2010 season marked the first time in program history at SFA has won back-to-back conference titles.
