FRISCO, Texas - Sophomore receiver Gralyn Crawford has been named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week announced league officials Monday morning. It is the second time this season that Crawford has received the honor.
Crawford helped closed the door on Nicholls when he opened the second half with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. It was the second time this season that Crawford has begun a half by returning the opening kickoff for a score. Crawford's 99-yard return was also the second-longest return in school history, and only the fourth time in program history that SFA has returned a kick at least 99 yards.
The Lumberjacks enter the final stretch run of the 2010 season with two games at home. SFA will host Southeastern Louisiana Saturday at 2 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
