In what has become an almost weekly routine, sophomore receiver Gralyn Crawford has once again been named CFPA National Kick Return Performer of the Week.
Crawford returned two kicks for 97 yards in the Lumberjacks' 51-14 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. His second return he took 80 yards for a touchdown. It marked his third touchdown return of the season, and his second in as many weeks. Crawford is currently fifth in the nation averaging 31.5 yards per return, and is tied for tops in the country with is three touchdowns.
Crawford, and the Lumberjacks, will look to win at least a share of their second consecutive Southland Conference title Saturday when they host Northwestern State. The annual `Battle for Chief Caddo' is slated to begin at 2 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
