NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Senior quarterback Jeremy Moses was named FCS National Quarterback Performer of the Week following his performance against Sam Houston State last week. In addition, junior linebacker Devin Ducote was named honorable mention linebacker performer of the week.
Moses completed 30-of-53 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns, as the Lumberjacks recorded their second consecutive victory in the series. Along with his impressive numbers, Moses also became the Southland Conference all-time leader in total offense. Moses has set new conference career marks for completions, passing yards, touchdown passes and yards of total offense.
Ducote finished the game with five tackles, including 2.5 tackles for losses. He also thwarted a Bearkat drive deep into SFA territory when he stripped a Sam Houston State player of the ball and recovered the fumble.
The 31-28 victory over Sam Houston State propelled SFA to No. 3 in the FCS Coaches' Poll, and fourth in the Sports Network Top 25. The Lumberjacks return to action Saturday when they host Texas State. The homecoming battle against the Bobcats is slated to begin at 2 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
