FRISCO, Texas - Senior quarterback Jeremy Moses has been named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week following his record-breaking performance against Sam Houston State Saturday. It is the fourth time in his career that Moses has received the honor.
Moses, who set a new SLC career record for total offense on his first pass of the game, completed 30 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns in the annual Battle of the Piney Woods. Moses guided the 'Jacks to their sixth consecutive victory with a 31-28 victory over Sam Houston State.
During his senior campaign, Moses has set new conference standards for completions, touchdown passes, passing yards and yards of total offense. He is currently ranked among the NCAA FCS' all-time top 16 in all four categories.
The fourth-ranked Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team returns to action Saturday when it hosts Texas State for homecoming. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kick from Homer Bryce Stadium.
