NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Over the course of the past two seasons, records have fallen on almost a game-by-game basis for senior quarterback Jeremy Moses. The schools all-time leading passer enters Saturday's game against Central Arkansas looking to become the Southland Conference's all-time leader in touchdown passes and total offense. Already the owner of the conference's completions and passing yards record, Moses needs only one touchdown pass and 336 yards of total offense to break two more conference marks. Ironically, the current records are held by former UCA quarterback Nathan Brown.
Now that the SLC records are in his sights, Moses is in the process writing his name in the NCAA career record books. One of the all-time best at the NCAA FCS level, Moses is currently 22nd all-time in total offense (10,658), 15th all-time in passing yards (10,935), 10th in touchdown passes (100) and sixth in completions (984 - completions list created from total offense stats). He also has an outside shot at moving into the NCAA Division I all-time top 30 in each category as well.
Moses is the catalyst for one of the nation's top offenses. The Lumberjacks enter Saturday's contest ranked third in the nation in passing offense (342.0 ypg) and fifth in scoring offense (38.2 ppg). The numbers are more impressive when you focus just on Moses. He is currently second in country averaging 27.2 completions per game, fourth in pass yard per game (306.4 ypg), tied for seventh in touchdown passes (13), seventh in yards of total offense (298.6 ypg) ninth in pass yards (1,532) and 13th in points responsible for (15.6 pg).
Moses will look to continue his climb up the conference and national charts Saturday when he guides the Lumberjacks into a conference match up against Central Arkansas. The game against the Bears is slated to begin at 2 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
