NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Fresh off their 14-point victory at Southeastern Louisiana, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team (9-7/4-1 SLC) prepares to open a very important stretch of the season. The Ladyjacks will play three of their next four games at home, beginning Wednesday evening against Northwestern State (10-7/3-1 SLC). The Lady Demons have won four of their last five games heading into Wednesday's matchup, and are coming off a six-point victory over Nicholls. The game against Northwestern State is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the William R. Johnson Coliseum.

Tradition of Winning in the SLC: As dominant as SFA has been nationally, they have been just as strong in the Southland Conference. The Ladyjacks are the conference's most successful team, compiling a 312-63 (.832) all-time record. SFA has won 15 of a possible 22 SLC tournament titles and 14 regular-season titles. SFA has also recorded four undefeated seasons in league play and has had 54 players named All-SLC.

Home Sweet Home: The Ladyjacks are one of the nation's all-time winningest teams at home, with a 376-97 (.795) all-time record. SFA has won 44 of its last 56 games in the coliseum. The Ladyjacks are currently undefeated at home this season, 5-0.
Ladyjack Academic Shootout: The annual Ladyjack Academic Shootout is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20, when SFA hosts Southeastern Louisiana. Fans can pledge a certain amount per point, or a flat rate. The money goes to support the Ladyjacks' summer school scholarships. A pledge will be set up at the front gate of the coliseum prior to every home game.
Offensive Threat: Despite Wednesday's setback, the Ladyjacks continue to have one of the conference's most explosive offenses. Since inserting junior Ebony Alexander into the starting lineup, SFA has averaged 86.7 points per game. The Ladyjacks are currently ranked 16th in the country in scoring offense.
Offensive Stock Rising: After shooting less than 40 percent from the field in a majority of the team's first 10 games of the year, SFA has settled down and their shooting percentage is on the rise. The Ladyjacks have shot nearly 44 percent during that time.
Like a Thief in the Night: The Ladyjacks have produced one of the most dominating defenses in the country this season. The Ladyjacks are currently ranked eighth in the nation averaging 12.2 steals per game. SFA is also ranked among the nation's top 10 in turnover margin (6.38).

Need Assistance, Pt. II: Junior Ebony Alexander tied a career high with 12 assists in the victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Arc Angels: The Ladyjacks knocked down a total of 125 three-pointers last season. SFA enters Wednesday's game with 111 triples with 11 games still remaining. The Ladyjacks rank 37th in the nation averaging 6.9 threes per contest.
Air Raid: The SFA single-season school record for three-point field goals is 179 set during the 2005-06 season. The Ladyjacks are currently on pace to break that mark.
Approaching the Milestone: Senior Whitney Cormier scored 15 points at Texas-Arlington and needs only 31 points to become the 24th Ladyjack in school history to score 1,000 points.
Up Next ... The SLC East-leading Ladyjacks will be back in action Saturday when they host McNeese State. The Cowgirls are 4-13 (.235) on the season, and are still looking for the first conference victory. The game against the Cowgirls is slated for 6 p.m. in the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
